Local startup launches a solar-charged delivery scooter
The scooter charges from a roof panel and a swappable battery, and costs a third of a petrol model to run.
A startup founded by three engineering graduates has begun selling a delivery scooter that tops up its battery from a solar panel built into the cargo box.
The company says riders can cover up to 40% of a typical day's distance from sunlight alone, with the rest from swappable batteries at partner shops.
Two of the country's largest delivery firms have signed up for trials. We test-rode it on Fast Lane, our tech show, on Thursday at 8 pm.
